Fairy Redesigns

After days and days spent on this, nonstop, I have FINALLY completed this picture. I'm gonna say, straight up, I envy and salute every person that colors digitally. It's not easy, it's VERY time consuming, and it takes days to weeks to get a darn picture done! D< .....In short, I'm tired, and I really hate my dedication to things. D;

Here's some info about these two characters:

The one on the right is 's Guardian fairy Aurore. She gave me the honor of creating Aurore's full view design! AND I LOVE IT! I created her design randomly while I was working at Best Buy. XD I drew her predesign on a sticky note, and then adapted from there. I designed her accessories and shoes off of Mizu's Fairy form, giving her slippers, and her jewelry and tiara are opposites of Mizu's. Her tiara hangs in between her eyes. And her jewelry is upsidedown version of Mizu's jewelry. And she wears one bangle on her left wrist, which was based off of Mizu's original design herself. Omfg, I love this design to death. *w* It's so cool! I tried to follow Mizu's specific guidelines, giving her see-through folds and longer hair. xD

The one of the right is my character, the Fairy of Dreams, who now has a name, Yume. I ran it by a few people, and they agreed with me. Yume is the Japanese word for "dream" and I figured Yume would be appropriate for her. Anyways, back to her design. Yume's dress design is a more elaborated version of her original one. Those arm things that sling across her dress are actual metal. They sometimes prevent her arm movement. xD;;; But, they're big enough that she can slip her arm through. Don't ask. XD Anyways, her tiara was the hardest to design, because she originally had a tiara that went across her forehead, and under her big woosh of hair. So. Hard. Her outfit design was even harder, because I wanted to make sure it looked like she was flowy and cloudy, and etc., etc. xD Don't listen to me, I'm crazy. Her dress normally comes down to her ankles, but at that angle I made it a bit longer than usual. She looks kinda pissed, probably because I drew her in her real form. o.e;;; Oh well. She also wears sandals that are metal and they intertwine like those links you see up to her knee.

....Is it me or do they look like sisters? >.>;;;

Now for the art;
It was an absolute PAIN IN THE BUTT to get this damn line art to agree with me. I had to redo both Aurore and Yume's outlines because the original outline of them was unsmooth and uneven. ;~;

The coloring was even worse. It took me 3 days to actually get the COLORING done. Shading too. Those light circles around them are supposed to be their Fairy light that is behind them. It looks terrible, I know. I like the sparkle on it though.

The BG is horrible. I didn't have any idea what to put behind it, nor any ideas of what possible color it could be. o.e;;; Black was the only logical color. I'll change it if you guys think it's too plain or something. Let me know!
